Mr Michael D’Souza, whose life and philanthropy span the UAE and Mangalore. He came forward on the strength of the idea alone, before the land was registered and before a single facility existed, and has pledged his help in every aspect of establishing the Club.
That a Mangalorean of his standing abroad should place his confidence in the idea at so early a stage says something about what is being built here. The Club is watched, and supported, by those who left this coast as much as by those who remained.

Long before this evening, Mr Saldanha placed his confidence in the Club. He is photographed here with Founder and Committee Members at the entrance of the site that will one day carry the Club’s name.
His example says something simple: this institution is already trusted by the people who know Mangalore best. His early confidence in the Club forms part of the circle of trust on which this institution is being built.
